This week we will have another interesting online lab meeting. This Friday (April 10th) from 15:00 - 16:00 Anne Marthe van der Bles (University of Groningen, Psychology) will give a talk about communicating uncertainty (see her recent PNAS paper: https://www.pnas.org/content/early/2020/03/17/1913678117) on trust and follow-up studies on COVID-19.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A, and everybody is welcome to join via Zoom: https://zoom.us/j/839478901 at 3pm (CET). This is the same link we use every Friday.

* April 17th - Shana Gardarian: In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Shana Gadarian (Syracuse University, Political Science) will give a talk on anxiety and politics. She will also talk about the geography of COVID-19 and individual health behavior. You can find some recent work on this here: https://tompepinsky.com/2020/03/29/the-geography-of-covid-19-and-individual-... * April 24th - Chris Karpowitz and Josh Gubler (at 4pm): In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Chris Karpowitz (Brigham Young University, Political Science) and Joshua Gubler (Brigham Young University, Political Science) will give a talk about their work on mixed affective states. Please note that this session is scheduled from 4pm - 5pm! * May 1st - Ming Boyer and Melissa Baker: In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Ming Boyer (University of Vienna, Communication Science) will present a paper on the role of affective states in explaining motivated reasoning in response to political news. Afterwards, Melissa Baker (UC Merced, Political Science) will present a paper on political engagement and the susceptibility to anxiety.
