This Friday (April 24th) from 16:00 - 17:00 we will have our fifth online lab meeting! In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Chris Karpowitz (Brigham Young University, Political Science) and Joshua Gubler (Brigham Young University, Political Science) will give a talk about their work on mixed affective states. Please note that this session is scheduled from 4pm - 5pm.

Below an update of the program of the coming weeks:
* May 1st - Ming Boyer and Melissa Baker: In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Ming Boyer (University of Vienna, Communication Science) will present a paper on the role of affective states in explaining motivated reasoning in response to political news. Afterwards, Melissa Baker (UC Merced, Political Science) will present a paper on political engagement and the susceptibility to anxiety. * May 8th - Stephen Reicher: In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Stephen Reicher (University of St. Andrews) will be our guest speaker (topic to be announced). * May 15th - Gordon Pennycook: In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Gordon Pennycook (U Regina) will present work on the predictors of covid attitudes and behaviors as well as the work on correcting misinformation is very relevant to understand the corona-crisis. Please note that this session is scheduled from 4pm - 5pm!
