She will also talk about the geography of COVID-19 and individual health behavior. * April 24th - Chris Karpowitz and Josh Gubler (at 4pm): In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Chris Karpowitz (Brigham Young University, Political Science) and Joshua Gubler (Brigham Young University, Political Science) will give a talk about their work on mixed affective states. Please note that this session is scheduled from 4pm - 5pm! * May 1st - Ming Boyer and Melissa Baker: In this session of the Online Hot Politics Lab, Ming Boyer (University of Vienna, Communication Science) will present a paper on the role of affective states in explaining motivated reasoning in response to political news. Afterwards, Melissa Baker (UC Merced, Political Science) will present a paper on political engagement and the susceptibility to anxiety.
