I am in the same situation as Nanke. I have a loud toddler who screams for attention all waking hours of the day, and at the same time my deadlines (grading exams, EU report) have not budged. At the same time, colleagues (mostly PBL) are escalating their Zoom meetings out of boredom of being home alone.

Dear all,

I am available on the 28th, but please, let’s consider if this is really necessary in this very moment. We already had a meeting about some changes in the year of 2021/2022, so not very prompting right now. I am overwhelmed with zoom meetings about all sorts of things that can also be discussed in two or three months. It seems that university work continues 100% while people with small children have less than 50% time to do that work. So, for me to fulfill the highly necessary tasks of grading and writing, I am holding on to a strict policy of no more meetings about things that are not totally necessary in this period.

Thank you for understanding,

Best,

Nanke

Onderwerp: UP core group meeting

Dear UP group core team,

I hope all of you are safe and healthy!

Hebe and Jeroen have asked to meet with us to discuss possible changes of the MURP program. Maria and I suggest we hold a zoom meeting of one hour to deal with this. Could you (and also Hebe and Jeroen) please let me know by Tuesday next week if you have a problem attending a one hour meeting on Tuesday April 28th  between 3pm-5pm. If too many people can’t participate, we will look for another day. If there are other issues you would like to put on the agenda, please let me know. In that case we might extend the meeting to one hour and  a half.

Best,

Luca
