We are excited to announce that Mariana
Rios Sandoval from Wageningen University and Research will be our speaker for the
third edition. As a postdoctoral researcher at the Embodied Ecologies Project, she will present her work on the topic of Research
on Toxic Worlds. This seminar will explore the ethical and
methodological challenges of researching toxicity
in urban environments. In this session, our UvA colleague, Jorge
O. Nuñez Vega, will serve as
the discussant for Mariana’s talk. More information about her research is available in the attached flyers.
The Vital Elements Seminar Series is
part of the ERC-Advanced research project, Vital Elements.
The series addresses
global challenges such as migration, environmental crises, and colonial relations by exploring vital materialities like water, seeds, phosphate, salt and oil that are essential for life or can spur death in their absence.
Warm regards,
The Vital Elements Team.
