Marie Schmidtlein, who is currently completing her Master's thesis on axiomatic questions in voting theory, will talk about the challenge of designing a voting rule from a given set of axioms in a bottom-up fashion. Hi everyone, The next COMSOC seminar will be tomorrow at 14:00. Carlos Navarrete will visit from Toulouse and talk about his work on using social choice theory to better understand the opinions held by large groups of people regarding multiple policy proposals. I'm happy to be able to report that we are restarting the seminar, and we actually have a packed programme for the rest of May, as well as a couple of further sessions later on this summer. We'll start next Monday, the 16th, at 16:00 with a talk by Jan Maly on Proportionality in Approval-Based Participatory Budgeting.
