Application sabbatical at The University of Amsterdam as a visiting researcher
My name is Shohreh Ezzatian and I am writing to apply for a short-term scholarship for a duration of 6 months in order to assist me throughout my time studying Urbanism at the University of Tehran. Due to my outstanding performance as a PhD student at the University of Tehran, I have got a scholarship as a visiting researcher which is financially supported by the University of Tehran to use in your university on Sep 2020.
Currently, my main focus is on theoretical approach in urban design process based on collaborative planning theory. I have consistently proven throughout my previous studies and working experience that when presented with an opportunity; I will strive as hard as I can to best represent myself and reward those who have granted me a chance to prove such.
This scholarship represents to me an opportunity to expand my knowledge and fully focus my attention on the main objective of achieving the best I can in identifying and measuring the effectiveness of collaborative designing process and the proposed new model of collaborative urban design process.
I will strive to find an answer to the following:
* How can collaborative planning theory help to explain collaborative urban design frameworks? * Which components of collaborative design process can be effective in decreasing of practical challenges in urban design? * What is the role of interactive participation of professions, authorities, stockholders, managers, citizens and other social activists in collaborative design process?
During my undergraduate studies, I taught urban design at the University of Tehran and I also worked on several projects about participation process by children, investors and other stockholders. This opportunity made me eager to have a deep view in collaborative process in urban design and its mutual cohesion to stockholder’s ideas in collaborative urban design.
